Israel bolsters northern front amid Hezbollah escalation

Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir has ordered the Golani Brigade's combat team transferred from Southern Command to the Northern Command sector, reinforcing Israel's forces along the Lebanon border. The decision followed a situational assessment held on Wednesday morning with senior commanders.  Video: IDF operating in Lebanon. Credit: IDF Zamir conducted the assessment in connection with developments in Operation Roaring Lion and in consultation with additional commanders. Further decisions on reinforcing with additional forces will be made based on ongoing situational assessments. The IDF said the army would continue to operate with full force against the Hezbollah terrorist organization, which chose to join the fighting under the sponsorship of the Iranian terror regime, and would not permit harm to Israeli civilians.
