The IDF Spokesperson announced Monday that forces from Division 91 had launched a targeted ground operation against key targets in southern Lebanon in recent days. The operation is aimed at expanding the security zone, destroying Hezbollah's terror infrastructure, and eliminating operatives active in the area – all with the goal of creating an additional layer of protection for residents of the north. In parallel with the offensive operations, Division 91 forces have continued their mission of defending Galilee communities alongside Division 146 (an IDF reserve division), which has been operating defensively since Hezbollah entered the conflict. The IDF also said that since the start of the campaign against Hezbollah, Division 91 and the Israeli Air Force have eliminated more than 230 terrorists and struck more than 200 Hezbollah targets and pieces of terror infrastructure.
