IDF braces for heavier Hezbollah fire

Operation Roaring Lion entered its sixth day with the focus gradually shifting from the Iranian missile salvos to the northern front. Home Front Command officials noted that while the volume of fire from Iran has been stabilizing and even declining, their assessment of Hezbollah diverges sharply. According to Home Front Command assessments, Hezbollah has so far launched large volumes of fire combining drones and rockets, targeting IDF bases and communities such as Kfar Yuval. Despite reduced fire toward maneuvering forces compared to earlier stages of the conflict, the IDF expects the rate of fire from the northern front to increase in the coming days, in contrast to the Iranian axis. The military stressed that its operational capability in the north has improved. The IDF has established stronger fire control – from both the air and ground – south of the Litani River than it had previously, and a series of targeted killings has significantly degraded Hezbollah's command and control capacity.
